See the fear at splice is you'd probably realise there's nothing new in the new sounds department appearing monthly very often and they don't care about your satisfaction as an end user they just simply don't want to loose your custom allowing that filter they probably see as making them have to work for a living, but actually the opposite would happen people would praise it for the speed of workflow you get when using it, encouraging users to speed up production trumps holding back on it for capitalising.īut yeah the other thing is it's got hardly any vocals to mention of, the main focus of music genre sound publications is always in the same old hip hop/dubstep and other stuff like trap genres primarily there are zero barely even what can be called full lyrics to build an actual song with full spoken sung words from and hooks barely exist in a complete sense those that do are to repetitious miles to short and repeat weird wordings that make zero common sense at all as a song when combined together.

It's such a jaunt a horrible horrible software to filter through, because of capitalistic approach by spammers it's made it hell on earth to search through and for that I now hate it, I've been asking and waiting for consecutive years for a filter for usernames but splice don't give a sh!* about consumers otherwise they'd do it.
ESM or another artist name which are good artists but have basically spammed the splice library, turning the job of finding anything but their sounds a none stop militarised mission, once you have used Splice for a good while a couple of years or more say then you get completely fed up using it, because at this stage you've downloaded a lot of sounds it's then a total utter hindrance to find new sounds or search results with sounds you haven't already got or even remotely care about any way.īut it would make my workflow and every other artists workflow hours upon hours faster if we could just filter artists names out using a comma to separate names and have unlimited simultaneously filtered out names as well as the current filtered out categories it already has bolted together. They need to allow us to filter out usernames eg. It's simply capitalism at it's worst, and guys it's garbage on the filtration side any way, it's not allowing us to even filter out usernames that have published these samples which is ridiculous, because they only put the most popular algorithmic results for artists first and those same artists in jumbled up results throughout every single page you search through, I don't pay for it luckily but man they are insulting with this.

None of the syncing anything will matter it will never be available to be used offline regardless of if you sync or not, because the first thing you have to do to even to use splice app is login otherwise it will never relent forcing you to log in it doesn't open without login first so if you've ever logged out and/or the company ever goes under so does everything you paid for with it sync or no sync, it's to prohibit you using what you pay for even after you have downloaded it on a paid account, it's for just incase you choose to drop your account further down the line, they can then force you to start all over again to make you buy credits to buy everything all over again. It seems to be part of Splice trying to coral people into their growing ecosystem.

The lack of being able to download select samples sort of breaks this and tries to force you to keep everything in Splices folder. For that reason I started just pasting them in my own organized sample library years ago.
If you are like me and only download a few select hits from different drum kits that means you will have like a single hat inside like 2-5 other folders depending on how the artist arranges the pack. You can only sync your entire library at once which is asinine. May 2023 Edit: It was confirmed to me by splice that the feature is no longer available. How is there not a "select all" when trying to download sounds off the app onto your HD? Is there a way to do this? I "downloaded" like 300 samples from the webbrowser and now they are greyed out on the app and I have to click the cloud next to each individual sample to get them actually on my HD.
